It is wonderful to be back at school and get reacquainted with all the students. I am so happy to hear the students of Cindrich have been reading over the summer. We have been sharing our summer stories and the great things we have read. The grade three and four students helped create a list of wonderful reads, come to the library to check it out.
Over the next week or two we will be getting our library bags and book exchange will begin. Grade five, six and seven students interested in being library monitors, an announcement will being coming shortly on how you can apply for this important job.
I am looking forward to another wonderful year at Cindrich.

I read my first Surrey School Book of the Year for 2015/16 ...
... and it was great!!! I read Rain Reign by Ann M. Martin.
If you like dogs you will enjoy this book. Rose Howard is not a typical girl from a typical family. Her relationship with her dog, Rain, is extraordinary. I can't tell you all the exciting parts but I can say this story made me cry (and I think if a book can make you feel an intense emotion it is something special).
If you would like to read this book the Surrey Public Library has the book at City Centre library, Fleetwood, Guildford and Newton, an ebook (so you don't even have to leave your house) and also an audiobook at Strawberry Hill library.
